Bub McCool ‘Dega Bound This Weekend
Vicksburg, MS - A last minute change of plans has Bub McCool taking his #57J Halloween-Themed/McCool Logging/Trakstar/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle this weekend in a pair of events at Talladega Short Track.
With the 6th Annual Southern Belle Cotton Pickin’ 100 at Magnolia Motor Speedway pushed back a week due to rain, Bub has decided to invade Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama for the Super Late Model events, which are held in conjunction with the Nascar weekend. In addition to massive crowds, a stout field of competitors are expected for the doubleheader. The festivities get underway on Friday night with an unsanctioned, $2,000 to win Super Late Model program. On Saturday night, October 31st, the O’Reilly Southern All Star Super Late Model tour rumbles into town for a $5,000 to win event. Last weekend McCool Motorsports traveled to Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi for the 15th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic. Bub finished third in his heat race to earn the 15th starting spot for Saturday night’s, 75 lap feature event. McCool would crack the top ten early in the event and got as high as the sixth position before a mid-race tangle with Chad Thrash sent McCool spinning and resulted in a broken j-bar, which brought an early end to McCool Motorsports’ night. Bub was credited with a
disappointing 21st place finish. For a complete feature finish, please visit http://www.whynotmotorsportspark.com.
Make sure to pick up a brand new 2009 Halloween-themed, Bub McCool t-shirt this weekend at Talladega Short Track. The shirts come in several different colors and hoodies are also available. To view the new designs, please visit http://www.bubmccool.com.
The team will also have their new diecasts for sale this weekend. There are two different models available including their current car design as well as the 2007 Halloween car design. The die casts can be purchased at the McCool Motorsports hauler this weekend.
