Merritt Island, FL (November 2, 2009)  The 2nd Annual “BLAST FROM THE PAST” needs your help. ”Instead of picking a charity for our benefit, we want to pick some children who really have wishes and we can help them fulfill them,” said organizer Joyce Lankford.  “You never really know who gets your money when you donate it to a charity and we would really like to see some smiling faces at us instead.  We need the drivers to please send in names of children who are sick and have a wish to go to DisneyWorld, a new bike, Universal Studios, etc.”

“We can’t do everything but we could make one child very happy.  When you have a sick child, it is hard enough to pay the bills but seldom can you ever just go and have a fun day with no stress.  This is what we want to do.  So if you know of someone in the racing family (both asphalt and dirt) who has a sick child and they really want a day that is special for that child, please send their names and information to either myself (slankfordl@aol.com) or Jane Smith (racingjls@aol.com)”.
