Ashland, WI, – Due to excessive rain over the previous three days and more expected that evening, the ABC Raceway regretfully cancelled its race program for Saturday.
The pit area was literally under water in some areas and totally unaccessable overall, making it impossible to prepare it for use by the racers. The “Jam the Stands” night slated for Saturday will be rescheduled for a later date. On Saturday, July 3, the Raceway will host its AmsOil Race of Champions qualifier, its Six-Cylinder Summer Sizzler presented by the Bad River Lodge & Casino, and its Kids’ Meet the Drivers Night activities presented by Little Caesar’s Pizza. Hot laps are at 6:15 pm and racing starts after the
“meet-and-greet” session at around 7.
All five classes – WISSOTA-sanctioned modifieds, super stocks and Midwest modifieds, plus the track’s own pure stocks and six-cylinders – will be in action. Adult tickets are just $10 each, and kids ages 12 and under are welcome for free with a paid adult admission.
The ABC Raceway is located 3-1/2 miles south of Ashland on State Highway 13 and one mile west on Butterworth Road. “Race Night” will air Saturday on WBSZ, 93.3 FM, from 4:30-6 pm with up-to-date track news and weather information. For raceday information call (715) 682-4990, or log on to the track’s website, www.abcraceway.com.
