DAVENPORT, Ia. – The IMCA Mod Madness 50, scheduled for tonight at the Davenport Speedway, has been rained out. The event has been rescheduled for Friday, July 14th.
Next Friday, June 2nd, weekly point racing returns to the Davenport Speedway. All four classes will be in action: the Petersen Plumbing & Heating IMCA Late Models, the Eriksen Chevrolet IMCA Modifieds, the Koehler Electric Street Stocks, and the Hawkeye Auto IMCA SportMods.
The first Friday in June also brings the Midwest Jalopies to the racetrack. The vintage racing coupes will once again compete on the quarter-mile oval.
In addition, that evening is the first Kid’s Night of 2017. Children under 12 are admitted free with a paid adult. Bike races will be held during intermission.
The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street in Davenport, Iowa. Pit gates will open at 4:30pm, grandstand at 5:00pm, with hotlaps at 6:15, and racing at 6:45pm.
