Great Racing Action at US 36 Raceway as the Stars Would Shine Bright!!!!

E-Modifieds would kick off the night of great racing action as Cade Richards #1R piloting to the front. Many would challenge but to no avail as this thirteen-year-old driver could not be shaken with talent beyond his years. Cade would hold off the hard challenge of second place finisher Gary Don Ainsworth #14 and last weeks winner and third place finisher Chris Dishong #41. Richards would celebrate in Lake Road Warehouse Winners Circle with his first win of 2018. Fourth and fifth would see the battle of heat race winners as Justin Marrant #28 would edge out Josh Adkins #91J at the line.

Pure Stocks would not be outdone and put on a stellar show for all the fans in attendance. CJ Turner #91 would take the front early and see the likes of George Bruning #B5 challenge and heat winner Jon Boller III #20X as the race progressed. Turner would go through the spin cycle in turns one and two sending him to the

rear of the field. Conner Masoner #47X would work his way to the front of the leaderboard and not look back picking up his second win in as many weeks at US 36 Raceway. CJ Turner would make a nice recovery from the back to place a solid second with another great run from Bruning who would place third. Boller III would fade to fourth with Shawn Huston #540 rounding out the night’s top five.

Visiting the high banks for the first time would be the Outlaw Vintage Racers with #J2 of heat winner Jack Simmons leading every lap to claim the checkers. Heat winner Ron Lefholz #20L would be the big mover of the race coming from back to front placing second with a solid third place showing for Andrew Buffington #3. The #7 driven by Dennis Fair would place fourth with Steve Tanner #XX ending the feature fifth.

IMCA Sport Mod would be high in quality and number on this night of action and put on a show to remember. Heat race winner JJ Baumli #46X would jump to the early lead and appear to be the car to beat until other heat winner Jeffrey Sears #13J would impress all in attendance getting by Baumli on the outside to take the front. As the laps wound down Baumli would do the slide job on Sears in turn four coming to the checkers not quite clearing with contact between the two as Baumli would take the win backwards at the line. Sears would finish a solid and impressive second with #19X of Josh Munsen third. Ramon Ortega #17R would be in fine form placing fourth with heat race winner Tyler Cadwallader #69ER racing his way to fifth.

IMCA Stock Car always put on one of the best features of the night and this race was no different as Blake Peeler #292 would use that high line to perfection holding off second place finisher and heat winner Chad Clancy #21X to take the win. Third place would belong to Thomas Roberts #65X with fourth to last week’s winner Mich Ross #34X and #X9 of Brad Whitney coming home fifth. Other heat race winner was Carson Masoner #20X.

IMCA Winged Sprints would see a caution free race as heat winner Matt Richards #1R would take the lead early and never look back picking up his second win of 2018 at US 36 Raceway Dirt Track. A very special night for the Richards racing as father matt would first watch his son Cade win E-Mod and then he would claim the win in Sprints, a father son wins on the same night. Other heat winner and two-time winner on the year Tyler Drueke #12T would do all he could to run down Richards but fall a little short placing second. Third place would see Mike Houseman Jr #4L with fourth belonging to the #7 of Toby Chapman and #292 of Chad Jarrett a very close and solid fifth.

Last race of the night was the IMCA Modified and what a race for fans as Cory Wray #69N would take the lead on the start. Wray would continue to lead until lap traffic would come into play and Shadren Turner #17T would make a race of it at the line. Wray would hold of the challenge and win the feature by a mere half car length with Turner second. Nick Roberts #23JR would race from the back of the pack to place third with last weeks feature winner Shayne Bailey #7 finishing fourth. Rounding out the night’s top five would be Chad Clancy #21C.
