Spriggs, Whitney, Starmer, Masoner and Ainsworth All Find Victory Lane at Bethany Speedway!

E-Modifieds would see Jason Nelson #12GA set the pace and lead the pack as the racing got hot and heavy. Nelson would stay out front as heat winner Gary Ainsworth #14, Destyn Whitney #58 and Austin Bouzek #14B would battle it out behind the leader. Ainsworth would use the high side to slide into second and set his sights on Nelson, slowly reeling him in and closing the margin. On the last lap, Nelson would slip up the track ever so slightly in turn number four allowing Ainsworth to get by on the inside and claim the win. This would be Ainsworth’s first victory at Bethany Speedway this 2018 racing season. Nelson would place a close second with Destyn Whitney racing his way to third. Austin Bouzek would end the feature fourth with Brock Brewer #02X rounding out the night’s top five.

#14 Gary Don Ainsworth from Excelsior Springs, MO E-Modified Feature Winner!

Pure Stock would take to the track and see Conner Masoner driving #20X dominate both heat race and feature winning both and parking in Pettijohns Victory Lane. C J Turner #91 would charge through the pack to place second with Chester Kaufman #94C a close third. Fourth would see Tyler Starmer continue his march toward the front with the third member of the Jamesport Mafia Shawn Huston #540 placing fifth.

#20x Conner Masoner from St Joseph, MO Pure Stock Feature Winner!

IMCA Sport Mod was high in quality and number with exciting racing from start to finish. Heat winner Casey Burnett #23B would work his way to the front of the field only to see Steve Starmer #11s charge by and take the spot in the early laps. Starmer would continue to pace the field with Randy Smith Jr #20X and Josh Munsen #19X trying to chase him down. Starmer would not be denied and pick up his second win at Bethany Speedway in 2018. Smith would fight all the way but fall a little short placing second with Munsen, the hard charger of the race third. Fourth place would go to the always fast and furious #9H of Nic Hanes with Jeffrey Sears #13J in the hunt placing fifth. Other heat race winners were Conner Masoner #47X and Anthony Asher #37.

#11s Steve Starmer from Martinsville, MO IMCA Sport Mod Feature Winner!

IMCA Stock car would see the caution only once in their action filled feature as heat winner Brad Whitney #X9 would work his way past a very fast Corey Piffer #71 to take the lead and never look back winning his second feature in as many races at Bethany Speedway. Chad Clancy #21X would challenge Whitney late but end the night second with Piffer impressing with a solid third place showing. Fourth place would see Shadren Turner #47X, in his first ever Stock Car start, with Carson Masoner #20 placing fifth.

#X9 Brad Whitney from Trenton, MO IMCA Stock Car Feature Winner!

IMCA Modified would see a “Wiley Old Veteran” find the fountain of youth winning both heat race and feature on this great night of racing action. Thirty-five-year veteran of the sport Richard Spriggs #81 would lead every lap of both feature and heat race holding the rest of the field at bay to park in Pettijohns Victory Lane. Chad Clancy #21C would challenge Spriggs as the two would deal with lap traffic but not have enough on this night and settle for second with one of our young guns Shadren Turner #17T placing third. Jim Masoner Jr #48X would slip a bit to place fourth with David Coates #31 rounding out the night’s top five.

#81 Richard Spriggs from Savannah, MO IMCA Modified Feature Winner!

Bethany Speedway would like to thank C&R Construction for donating the bikes and congratulate Victoria and Gaise on winning them.
