Central Missouri Speedway Turns the Spotlight to Kid’s Night plus Championship Racing this Saturday!
(Warrensburg, Missouri) Kid’s Night steals the spotlight this Saturday at Central Missouri Speedway in an action-packed night of young race fan fun as championship racing continues in all divisions. The special night for kids from toddler age to 12-years old features foot races on the track for girls and boys age groups, chances to win prizes and bikes, a free hot dog and drink and of course, the traditional goodie bags stuffed full of trinkets, hero cards, school supplies, snacks and much more for every kid 12 and under in attendance.
For a complete rundown of the weekend’s events visit www.centralmissourispeedway.net. For Saturday’s events, Adult general admission is $12, Active Military $10, Senior Citizens ages 65 to 74 years $10, Kids ages 6 to 12 years $6, Senior Citizens 75 and older free, Children 5 and under free. All pit passes, regardless of age are $30. All minors 18 years and older will require a minor release form, available on-site. Pit gates will open at 4:30 followed by spectator grandstands at 5. Driver pill-draw ends at 6:15 (no passing points if driver checks in late), the pit meeting takes place at 6:30, and practice ‘hot laps’ begin at 7. Racing begins at 7:30.
Event organizer Barb Myers is seeking volunteers for the event to help organize the kids in age groups and to catch the kids as they come across the finish line. If you would like to volunteer, see Barb on the evening of the event or email us at email@example.com. Drivers and fans are encouraged to donate items for the bag staffing. Bicycle donations are also being sought for the Kid’s Night activities.
According to Myers, items still needed to enhance the kid’s night goodie bags include spiral paper, scissors, black ink pens, bottle glue, colored pencils, and crayons. Donations may be made up to race night. The CMS crew will stuff the bags this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the track inside the tech barn and donations may be dropped off at this time.
All drivers in the area are reminded that CMS has waved the track registration fee for the remainder of the year. Drivers that have been thinking about giving CMS a go this season, your time is now.
