GILLETTE, Wyo.– IMCA Modifieds will race for a top prize of $2,000 at Gillette Thunder Speedway’s eighth annual 38 Special this Saturday, July 9.
A minimum of $100 will be paid to start the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. National, ButlerBuilt Western Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded.
Pit gates will be open all day and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.
Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and $8 for seniors and military. Kids 12 and under get in free. Pit passes are $25.
Entry fee of $50 includes the driver’s pit pass.

The 38 Special has doubled as the Harold Allen Memorial since 2009. Allen competed in the street stock class at Gillette.
