The temperature was perfect and the racing surface was indeed ready for the season kick off, and all 120+ racers got two rounds of practice in prior to the drivers meeting. One call took the track for first round heats, our Junior Sportsman Champ Class, and we saw young Dalton Davis take the heat win, and as the checker flag fell so did the beginning of the end of our day. The rains came and put an end to the season opener. We will do it all again on Saturday, April 14th, gates open at 9AM. We invite all to be a part of the awesome little 1/8th mile dirt oval anywhere, Atoka Raceway Park.
