Five IMCA divisions run at Shelby County’s Tiny Lund Memorial

HARLAN, Iowa – Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Late Models both race for $1,000 to win at Shelby County Speedway’s Saturday, Aug. 29 Tiny Lund Memorial.

The Modified feature is a qualifying event for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Also on the card are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks chasing top checks of $600, $500 and $400, respectively.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded in all divisions. Regional points will be given to Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers.

Entry fees are $50 for Modifieds and Late Models, $30 for Stocks and SportMods, and $20 for Hobbies

Pit gates open at 3 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and the mandatory pit meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Racing starts at 6 p.m.

Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students and free for five and under. No promotional tickets will be accepted. Pit passes are $30.

Shelby County hosts Tiny Lund Memorial Sept. 14-15

HARLAN, Iowa – The 21st annual Tiny Lund Memorial is set for this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14-15 at Shelby County Speedway.

The IMCA Modified feature pays $3,000 to win, a minimum of $200 to start and is a
qualifier for the 2013 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods both race for $2,000 to
win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for a top prize of $1,000.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State
points will be awarded to Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers. National and
state points are at stake for Northern SportMods.

Gates open at 5 p.m. and Friday’s program of heat races for all divisions and pole
dashes for Modifieds and Stock Cars follows the 6:30 p.m. drivers’ meeting. Pit
passes are $25 and grandstand admission is $15 for adults and $10 for students that
evening.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Saturday with the 6 p.m. drivers’ meeting preceding last
chance features and the main events. Pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission is $15
for adults and $10 for students.

Kids 10 and under get in free both nights when accompanying a paid adult. Rain date
is Sunday, Sept. 16. Camping spots will be available on the fairgrounds.

HARLAN, Iowa – Shelby County Speedway celebrates a milestone when it hosts the 20th annual Tiny Lund Memorial on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16-17.

The purse has been upped to more than $60,000. The IMCA Modified feature now pays $5,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start, and is a qualifying event for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods both race for $2,000 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $1,000 to win.

National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded to Modified, Stock Car and Hobby Stock drivers. National and state points are at stake for Northern SportMods.

Entry fees are now $150 for Modi fieds, $75 for Stock Cars and SportMods, and $50 for Hobby Stocks.
