World Products Empire State Series heads to Thunder Mountain Speedway for Sept. 25 show

September 24th, 2010

CENTER LISLE, N.Y. (Sept. 21) – With hopes that the third time will be a charm, the World Products Empire State Series for IMCA Modifieds travels to Thunder Mountain Speedway for a Saturday, Sept. 25 show.

Rained out on Aug. 15 and again on Aug. 22, the IMCA Modified tour event at Center Lisle is part of the Hurricane Harry Uhl Jr. Memorial program.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at 5:15 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Spectator admission is $14 for adults, $12 for both seniors 60 and over and students ages 10-17, and free for kids nine and under. A family pass (two adults and three students) is $50. Pit passes are $35.

Rookie Matt Roberts was the winner when the tour visited Center Lisle back on July 4. Lyle Smith, Gary Roberts and Dale Caswell have also topped Empire State events this year. Chris Fleming is the point leader, 11 markers better than Howard Jones.

IMCA Modifieds are also on the Friday, Sept. 24 card at Center Lisle. More information about the weekend of racing at TMS is available by calling 607 227-9602 and at the website.

Special series points only will be awarded for the final two series events of the season, at Fulton Speedway on Oct. 1 and at Five Mile Point Speedway on Oct. 30.
