June 23rd, 2016

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa — The richest week of dirt track racing ever for Stock Cars and B-Mods in the State of Iowa (or anywhere else for that matter) happens Tuesday, June 28 through Sunday, July 3.

More than $100,000 in total prize money has been posted for the six nights of racing at five race tracks that will see the final main event take place on the eve of Independence Day.

The Road to Independence begins Tuesday, June 28, at the Frontier Speedway in Fort Dodge, and then on Wednesday and Thursday, June 29-30, the action happens at the Mason City Motor Speedway.

On Friday, July 1, the on-track fireworks move to the Fayette County Speedway in West Union, followed by a trip to the Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah on Saturday, July 2.

The sixth and final night takes place on Sunday, July 3, at the Cresco Speedway just minutes before the 240th anniversary of the thirteen colonies claiming their independence from England.

All six events will be highlighted by the Iron Man Series featuring Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods.

At the Fort Dodge, West Union and Cresco events, Holley USRA Stock Cars will be racing for $750 to win while Out-Pace USRA B-Mod drivers get $600 to win.
